Reality is the calm, honest mirror of your money. It shows what your goodness already did: what is ready now, what is still on the way, and your lifetime total. It reflects Stripe, and it never holds your funds.
The three numbers
What each number means
Reality mirrors Stripe as of its latest snapshot, refreshed each time you open it.
- Available now
- What is ready to pay out to your bank right now, exactly as Stripe reports it.
- Future payouts
- Money you have earned that is still settling. It joins an upcoming payout once Stripe marks it ready.
- Total earned
- Your lifetime total in HayloFriend, including money already paid out. It only grows.
The thin bar
The line under the numbers is Available now divided by your current total. It is a quick read on how much of your balance is ready to move today, not a goal to fill.
A closer look
Tap Available now to see the Reflected Truth
Available now is one side of a card you can flip. Tap it, and it turns over to Reflected Truth, a second read of the same balance. The two answer slightly different questions.
- Available now
- Exactly what Stripe's latest snapshot shows as ready to pay out. The card reads, "Mirrors Stripe, as of our latest snapshot."
- Reflected Truth
- The same balance, plus the completed payout changes Haylo already knows happened. It is the truer, more current number while Stripe's mirror catches up. The card reads, "Stripe mirror plus completed payout changes we already know happened."
Pro tip
Right after you schedule a payout, the card turns to Reflected Truth on its own for a few seconds, so you see the post-payout balance straight away, then it flips back. Flipping only changes the view, never your money, and it is there once Stripe is connected.
Money truth
Powered by Stripe, never held by Haylo
Stripe holds your funds and processes every payment. Card details stay inside Stripe, so HayloFriend never sees them. Reality reflects Stripe's balance; it does not hold or move money on its own.
Good to know
Because Reality mirrors Stripe, a new tip or a payout shows up here once Stripe marks it, so something can read as still settling while Stripe catches up. Payouts to your bank start at $3.33.
The button
One button that changes with your state
Reality has a single primary button, and its label changes to match exactly where you are. It always points to the one next step worth taking.
- Create Light
- When there is nothing to pay out yet. It takes you to Create so gratitude has somewhere to land.
- Set up payouts
- Before Stripe is connected. It opens Stripe to link your bank. If you started but did not finish, it reads Complete Stripe.
- Schedule payout
- Once Stripe is connected and funds are ready. It lines your money up for the standard Friday payout.
- Get paid now
- When your account is eligible for instant payouts with Stripe and you choose the instant option. It sends your money right away instead of waiting for Friday.
Pro tip
Whether the instant option appears is up to Stripe. When your account qualifies under Stripe's eligibility, Reality offers it next to the standard payout so you can pick the speed that fits.
