You can send money to anyone with a phone number, even if they have never used HayloFriend. They claim it with a tap, and until they do, the money waits safely. It is never lost.

Send it

Hand it over by text, or in person

Once your payment lands, Haylo shows a Give Light card. Send the claim by text or email, or, if you are together, let them scan the QR to open it on their phone. Either way it is the same secure claim flow.

Send now: Sends a private claim link by text or email, so they can claim from anywhere.
In person: Let them scan the QR to open the same claim on their phone. No text needed.

If it is unclaimed

A gentle reminder at the top

If the person has not claimed yet, a reminder appears at the top of Your impact with the amount and the masked number. Tap Resume now to reopen the send card, or Show me to walk through it. You can minimize it to a small Pending light pill anytime.

Track them

Pending lights, all in one place

When you have handoffs still waiting, a Pending Light card sits on the right of Your impact, below Send light and above Create. It lists each one with its amount, how long it has been waiting, and a few quiet controls. The card only appears when you have pending lights.

The number: Hidden by default for privacy. Tap it to reveal the full number, and tap again to hide it.
Copy: Copies the full number to your clipboard, so you can reach them another way and send the light again.
Resume: Reopens the text card so you can remind the recipient to claim the money waiting for them, or hand it over in person.

Private by default

We keep the recipient's number hidden on purpose. It is there when you need it, one tap to reveal, never left on display.

Money truth

Money is never lost, it waits to be claimed

When you send to a phone number and the other person has not claimed yet, the money is held safely until they do. It does not disappear and it does not vanish into limbo. It waits patiently until it is claimed.

Safe by design

Funds stay held with Stripe until the recipient claims them, through the same secure claim flow. Nothing is lost while a light waits.
