A Recommendation is a product you actually use, shared on your meet page with a link people can trust. Paste a link, Haylo tags it, and the people who trust your work can buy through you. This is how affiliates work on HayloFriend.
What it is
One of your three kinds of light
Every light on HayloFriend is a Relief, a Ritual, or a Recommendation. A Recommendation is a product or affiliate link people can use, with a photo, a line on why it matters to you, and a Check price button. It is the affiliate primitive: share what you already love, and let your taste do the work.
How it works
Paste a link, we handle the rest
- In Create, add a Recommendation and paste the product URL.
- If it is an Amazon link, Haylo automatically attaches its Associate tag, so you never have to apply to the program or manage tags.
- On your meet page, Check price routes through a private redirect at haylofriend.com/go/…, records the click, and sends the visitor straight to the product. They never see the redirect.
Pro tip
Recommendations work best when people already trust your taste. The doula naming the gear she really uses, the teacher pointing at the books her class loved. Audience size matters less than trust.
The split
Free is 50/50, Haylo Pro is 100%
On the free plan, you and HayloFriend split reviewed affiliate commission 50/50. On Haylo Pro, your creator share rate is snapshotted at 100%. The snapshot happens at the moment of each click, so the plan rate you are on when a click happens is the rate used later if Amazon reports payable commission.

Recommendations are live: your links work, people buy through them today, every click is recorded, and your split is snapshotted at that moment (50/50 free, 100% Pro). Amazon earnings import, proposed matching, and founder review are the settlement rail: import/propose is not money, approval is not money, and creator money truth starts only after Amazon payout proof is funded and settled.

Common questions
Does every recommendation earn money?
No. Clicks are not money, and affiliate commission is not guaranteed. If a retailer reports a qualifying purchase, HayloFriend reconciles it through the affiliate settlement rail before anything becomes creator money truth.
Do visitors see a disclosure?
Yes. Recommendation links use clear disclosure language when they may earn affiliate commission, including Amazon Associate disclosure where it applies.
